Magformers consists of bright, colourful and fun educational shapes.
Each piece contains encapsulated 360 degree rotating magnets that always rotate to attract to the magnet encapsulated in the next shape.
Rather than the usual stacking or interlocking block, Magformers can be connected in any direction in 3D. This is due to the powerful rotating magnets encapsulated within deliberately placed contact points within each piece!
Magformers are easy to assemble and disassemble when compared to blocks that insert or interlock to assemble.

HOW TO SPOT THE FAKES
So how can you tell if you are buying high quality genuine Magformers products, as opposed to cheaper, lower quality fake copies? Well, the only way to really be sure, when buying Magformers is to buy from a authorised Magformers Reseller such as Teach me Toys.
Otherwise, please be aware that some sellers will tell you that their product is “compatible with” or “works with” Magformers (these are most likely lower quality fakes).
Others will, unfortunately, not be as honest and will tell you that their product is a “genuine” or “original” Magformers product, when it is not, so it will pay off if you know how to spot the fakes.
Here’s how to tell:
• Fake products can be sold in plastic tubs, buckets, cans or boxes, and can that have the word “magformers” (or a very similar word / logo) on the container. Others are sold in bubble wrap without a box.
• Brand new genuine Magformers always come in a factory sealed box, with the registered and trademarked “Magformers®” brand name clearly displayed on the box.
• Fake products generally have colours that just look ‘off’. Something about them does not look quite ‘right’.
• Genuine Magformers come in many various vivid bright and attractive colours, shapes, pieces and accessories that the fake products simply do not offer. In addition to the 8 basic Magformers colours (red, orange, yellow, light green, sky blue, blue, light purple and pink), genuine Magformers products offer solid primary colours that are attractive to children, such as bright neon colours and pastel colours!
• Various vivid colours make models brighter and help elicit your child’s senses and emotions by adding visual stimuli.
• Fake products also have less designs, shapes, sets (and innovation!), which limits what your child can build. They also lack the accessories found in many of the genuine Magformers sets. See below for more about accessories!
Most importantly, it is unknown whether the fake products have ever been subjected to any safety testing whatsoever. Many of the fake products are offered for sale by overseas sellers, who are not subject to the same strict safety standards as Australia.
