How Does the CVC Toolbox Work?
It turns early phonics into a simple three-step activity children can see, hear and physically build.
STEP 1
Choose a Picture Card
Start with one of the photographic cards. The picture gives the child a clear word to listen to, sound out and build.
STEP 2
Listen for Each Sound
Help your child listen for the beginning, middle and final sounds in the word, then find the letter pieces that match.
STEP 3
Build It. Blend It. Read It.
Put the three sounds together, say each sound from left to right and then blend them together to read the complete word.
